A promise that began with my father
In 1975, my father, Ashok Kumar Garg, started Vandana Fertilisers to serve the farmers of Hisar.
In 1988 he moved into seed. He believed seed is the most important input in farming, yet nobody was paying attention to its quality.
We lost him in 1993. His belief, that seed quality decides a farmer's season, guides me every day.
Eight generations in Hisar. One purpose: the farmer.
Eight generations of roots
My family has lived in Hisar for eight generations, and our roots have always been in farming.
Every job, done myself
Orders, collections, field visits, kisan melas: I have done every job in the seed business. I was both the peon and the CEO.
The problem I care about
Seed quality gets ignored, and shortcuts hurt farming families. That is what I want to change.

I started Kern SeedTech in Hisar in 2021 to deal only in premium seed, where quality matters more than quantity.

Hisar, Haryana is known for seed production and innovation. Our seed processing factory and office are near Balaji Hanuman Mandir, Rajgarh–Barwala Highway, NH52 Hisar Bypass, VPO Dhandoor, Hisar.
